It was after the diagnosis of her youngest son with learning disabilities and attention issues Beth McGaw became an outspoken advocate for individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders.
While living in Atlanta, Beth co-founded the award-winning Atlanta based Kids Enabled Magazine, a magazine for parents of children with learning differences. Beth served on the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) Board of Directors and just completed her term as President of LDA of America.
Although Beth started her career as an Industrial Engineer, she pursued her passion for education by obtaining a master’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and guides
students in the areas of learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. Her company, Launch Pad Consulting Group, offers services to individuals and their families, bridging the gap between high school and post-secondary education as well as explore options for potential employment and coach students in their academic endeavors and life skills.
Beth currently resides in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas with her husband, Steve, and two Australian Labradoodles, Tucker and Lacey. She has raised three amazing sons, two of whom are pursuing their careers, one on each coast. The third is on his way to launching as a young adult and pursuing his dream of graduating from college with a Health Science degree.
